The Benefits of Asana

The benefits of Asana

Asana is an app designed to help organise, track and manage yours and your teams’ workload.

There’s a lot that can be achieved with Asana, including managing everyday to-do lists, creating tasks, setting reminders and deadlines, monitoring projects, managing workflows, collaborating and communicating with your team.

Here are just a few of the benefits that come from using Asana.

Manage your work, tasks and projects

Asana’s boards and lists allows you to create projects and then break them down into manageable tasks. With the ability to add individual tasks and sub-tasks, you can clearly keep track of what needs to happen and when, as well as delegating responsibilities amongst your team.

With due dates, times and notifications, Asana helps to ensure that you never miss a deadline. And also allows you to easily see with the calendar or timeline views, when things need to happen to keep your project on track.

Each project and task can have a number of people ‘following’ to stay up to date. But also allows you to keep conversations on specific projects and tasks all in one place. As well as being able to add and update the description, you and your team members can add in attachments relevant to your project.

Communicate with your team

Using the task comments means that all relevant team members can see and update their teammates so that everyone is on the same page. Project conversations also gives you the ability to discuss the projects progress.

For general announcements and updates, the team page lets you share important information to all team members at the same time.

Team Management

Asana allows you to create and connect your teammates in one place. There’s a shared calendar and conversations section to keep everyone up to date. You can also control the team’s privacy settings.

Want to keep a team member up to date on a project? Add them in as a follower to the project. They’ll see and be notified of all updates.

Using an outside contractor or vendor? You can add them in as a guest onto your project, with the ability to limit what they see and can do.

The team pages gives you the ability to see all of your team’s projects in one place so you know exactly what everyone is working on and the progress they’re making.

Reporting

For each project, you can see, track and manage goals. The premium version of Asana also allows you to set milestones to mark the progress you’re making, create status updates and timelines for key stakeholders and provide custom real-time charts on the progress your team is making.
